When I cook oats in the morning, I like to keep it simple. It already takes enough time to cook the oats, I just want to add some easy ingredients to make it yummy.
This weekend I was looking around my kitchen and decided to switch up my normal every day meal to include a small banana and some chopped walnuts - hence why I decided it was called Banana Nut Oats. :)
Ingredients - for 1 serving
1/4 cup of Steel Cut Organic Oats
2 tbsp (1 orange 21df container) chopped walnuts
1 small banana sliced
Optional - dash of cinnamon
Combine Steel Cut Organic Oats and 1 1/4 cup water in small sauce pan. Bring to boil at medium heat. Continue to stir and cook for 30 minutes until oats are done and minimal liquid remains.
Add banana, walnuts and cinnamon. Combine and enjoy. :)
