About Me

Hi!  My name is Kimber.  I am a full time Senior Communications Coordinator as well as very involved mother and wife.  I have had many struggles with weightloss and health over the past 6 years and I am finally taking a stand to hold myself accountable and get back to ME!  I created this blog to help keep myself accountable to make great decisions regarding my health, nutrition and working out.  I also hope my blog helps others with make great decisions as well.  I know a lot of what I have learned can help someone else get back to themselves as well!

Here is a little background - with my pregnancy in 2008 I had gained 75 lbs which made me tip the scales at close to 200 lbs.  After delivery, I quickly lost the weight (thank goodness for breast feeding).  However, after I stopped producing 3 weeks later, I gained it ALL back.  Every last bit.  I was once again 200 lbs but not pregnant.  Over the last several years, I have tried gyms and certain appetite suppressants, but none of that ever worked for me.  I was finding myself at the gym more than I was at home and not seeing any progress though I was eating like a fitness competitor and lifting like one too.

Fast forward to Fall of 2014 -  I had been following a girl on Facebook that was losing weight and getting in shape, not including how happy she was and confident.  I had been watching her on Facebook for a good part of a year (I know creepy stalker status).  She was someone I wish I could be like.  One day I saw her post about her Sugar Free group and I decided to send her a message.  Next thing I knew, I bought my first challenge pack - Piyo and Chocolate Shakeology.  In September of 2014, we started the group with doing before pictures, measurements and our weight (privately of course).  How just doing all of that made me want to quit, but part of me bit the bullet sent the email to my coach and moved on with my day.  I felt this was the worse it could get right?  I loved Piyo at first, then I began to like it, then I found it boring.  However, my first group of eating clean, going sugar free, working out, and drinking Shakeology - I lost 12 lbs.  I was hooked and joined another group right away.  I did switch to 21 Day Fix at this point though.  I then moved on to 21 Day Fix Extreme in February of 2015.  Since starting my journey, I have lost 35 lbs and having gained so much in confidence!  I feel like a completely different person.  I have much more energy, focus and I'm so much happier with myself.  With my success and determination, I have became an online fitness and health coach.  I am not yet to my goal weight or my goal body, but I don't have to be to inspire someone.  I want to share my journey with others so they can see that they can do the same.

Beachbody products are not the "easy way out" and they are not a "magic fix".  These products help you make life style changes.  Beachbody combines fitness and nutrition to give you the ultimate package.  You must put in the time and effort to get the success you are looking for.  However, with the support of a coach and challenge group, it makes it easier to accomplish than going at it alone.
